At HDC, we understand that staying healthy, independent, and connected often requires more than just a good meal. That’s why we offer a variety of programs to provide extra support for older adults in our community. Services available vary by county.
- Home Delivered Meals (Sanilac and Tuscola County Residents)
- Transportation Assistance (Sanilac and Tuscola Residents)
- Elder Advocacy for individuals experiencing exploitation, neglect, or abuse. (Sanilac, Tuscola, Lapeer and Huron County Residents)
- Incontinence Supplies to assist with providing protective undergarments, at no cost to residents in Tuscola, Sanilac, Lapeer and Huron Counties.
- Caregiver and Kinship Support available in Tuscola and Sanilac Counties.
- Case Management Support that provides education, resources, and tools for aging safely at home for Tuscola and Sanilac County Residents
- Outreach to connect seniors with resources, answer questions, and provide guidance on available services in Tuscola, Sanilac, and Huron Counties.
- Community Activities and Dining Centers (Sanilac and Tuscola County Residents)

At our Senior Centers, we provide more than just a meal; we well-balanced, nutritious food in a group setting where friends gather and new connections are made.
We care about your health, your happiness, and your sense of belonging. That is why our centers also offer opportunities to take part in activities that bring people together, encourage laughter, and keep both mind and body active. If you are 60 or older, we would love for you to join us!

Our HDM program provides balanced meals delivered to homes of seniors who are unable to shop or prepare food for themselves. More than just a meal, this service also offers a friendly check-in from a caring driver, helping seniors maintain independence while knowing someone is looking out for their well-being.
Eligibility is generally for individuals age 60 and older who are homebound or have difficulty preparing meals. Available to Tuscola and Sanilac County Residents. Temporary delivery may be provided after a surgery or an accident as well.

This is a volunteer-based program for medical appointment needs.
